We were commissioned to lead the dementia consultation for Liverpool City Region on the newly developing Local Transport Plan. As accessible transport is a key focus for Thred CIC this provided an opportunity for the dementia community to share their views and contribute to the development of the LTP.We also had the opportunity to develop information and resources to help people living with dementia to plan their journeys. We are continuing to support organisations in raising awareness of dementia through their training programmes and we look forward to developing new resources and relationships with public, private, and voluntary sector as we break the stigma of dementia. We use music as a central pillar to communicate our message and have created original songs and films to promote our projects and continuing working to encourage people living with dementia to use music to help keep social and family connections. We had the opportunity to work with Exeter University to create a unique song, music and film to support the IDEAL project . This work has produced extensive resources to support the dementia community on a national basis. We continue to deliver or weekly X (formely Twitter) session that provides that provides extensive information on a range of subjects that can provide support to people living with dementia and their families. (Currently we have done 176 sessions on a wide range of subjects). Our Chair Thomas Dune BEM continues to use his profile to communicate the challenges of dementia as a national level and has established a national profile as an advocate with European, national and local media.
