3 Get on Board CIC is a company which promotes the inclusion and rights of people with learning disabilities. The company was formed in 2018 to take over the work previously delivered by The Learning Disability Partnership Board in Northamptonshire, after the board was closed as part of the local council cuts. The company involves adults with learning disabilities who work with local organisations, businesses and services to ensure they are fully inclusive of people with learning disabilities. This is done through training, providing advice about making services accessible and consultation opportunities.During the financial year 2020, the company’s activities have been adversely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic which has prevented the normal activities from taking place, these will recommence as things return to normal. In the meantime, to keep in touch with local organisations, the directors have attended Zoom and Teams meetings on behalf of adults with learning disabilities.
Formal consultation has not taken as the pandemic situation has constrained the ability to meet in groups but feedback received on an individual basis (such as emails and verbal response) has been positive in that people are happy with 3 Get on Board continuing the work of the Learning Disability Partnership Board, which otherwise would have been lost.
The accounts show payments for work delivered by the Directors – Carol Coe, Dawn Line and Luisa Jepson. This includes hours worked and any expenses incurred, such as mileage and equipment.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
