Trash Hero GB has continued to support the work of the Trash Hero volunteer network overseas and in the UK to reduce plastic pollution.Progress has been made on developing and improving the procedures necessary to start regular cleanup activities in the UK once circumstances permit. We have also invested time in strengthening our governance to allow us to operate more efficiently and effectively going forward. We carried out small cleanup events, compliant with Covid restrictions, in London and Newcastle during the summer months. We contributed cleanup data to the 2020 global Brand Audit Report, released by Break Free From Plastic, that holds corporate plastic polluters to account.Worldwide, we provided full-time programme support to enable the work of 171 Trash Hero volunteer groups in 15 countries. Volunteers continued to carry out regular community cleanups wherever possible, run water refill networks and deliver an environmental education programme for primary age children.
Our stakeholders are broadly defined as the public in general, worldwide. More specifically they include all of our Trash Hero volunteers and the communities they serve, as well as the Trash Hero global support and coordination network of which we are part.We are in constant communication with our volunteers and with the rest of the support network, through daily online meetings, chats, email and a volunteer intranet that Trash Hero GB created for the network. Through these channels we circulate news and updates; solve problems; and provide training and support as needed. In response to the feedback received during the pandemic, we helped to increase activities online to keep the network up and running. We focused on sharing knowledge about plastic pollution, including new developments relating to healthcare and PPE.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £45,000.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the renumeration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
