The establishment and support of arts and creativity activities based at Furnace BrookThe provision of support to rural micro enterprises based either at Furnace Brook or in the nearby localityManaging the land and lakes at Furnace Brook in order create a sustainable ‘naturally inspiring’ place for visiting individuals and organisations.Onsite research activities regarding various facets of sustainable living and working.
During the year the Company’s stakeholder engagement broadened including in particular 1) Active Engagement with the local Parish Council (assisting with local activities linked to the climate & ecological emergency) and 2) Partnership working with the United Nations Association Climate and Oceans (UNAC&O) Working Group. Following the successful hosting of the UNAC&O ‘Generation Restoration’ event in July 2022, partnership work continues between both organisations. Meanwhile engagement with micro enterprise stakeholders has continued with local village shops (where beer was sold to) and a rural enterprises. There is regular dialogue with all stakeholders directed towards positive local community benefits and wider collaborative working
