For the year ending 30 April 2021 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.
These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime and in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A - Small Entities. The profit and loss account has not been delivered to the Registrar of Companies.

Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The financial statements present information about the company as an individual undertaking and not about its group. The company and its subsidiary undertaking comprise a small sized group. The company has therefore taken advantage of the exemptions provided by section 402 of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare group accounts.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Investments held as fixed assets are shown at cost less provision for impairment.

Transactions with related parties
At the year end the company was owed £403,855 (2020: £369,618) by County Gate Properties Limited, it was also was owed £6,700 (2020 £6,700) by County Gate Properties (Handcross) Limited and £23,004 (2020 £23,004) by Bevingdean Limtied. All these companies are part of the group. It owed County Gate Properties (Surrey) Limited £59,019 (2020 £59,019), which is part of the group. It owed West Marina St Leonards Limited £100 (2020 £100).
At the year end the company owed £41,452 (2020: £47,452 ) to County Gate Properties (Brighton) Limited, and it also was owed £42,944 (2020: £60,344) by County Gate Properties (Tongdean Lane) Limited, both companies are controlled by M Deme and A Vint.
During the year dividends were received from County Gate Properties Limited of £nil. During the year a dividend of £69,400 was paid to shareholders.
