Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The financial statements are prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015).
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis which assumes that the company will continue in business.
The company made a loss of £869 during the year ended 31 March 2016 and its liabilities exceeded its assets by £169,533. The company is, therefore, dependent on the continued financial support of it's director.
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis which assumes that the company will continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The validity of this assumption depends upon the continued financial support of the director. The financial statements do not include any adjustments that might result if financial support is not provided by the director.
On this basis, the director believes it is appropriate for the financial statements to be prepared on a going concern basis.
Compliance with accounting standards
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice), which have been applied consistently (except as otherwise stated).
Goodwill
Acquired goodwill is written off in equal annual instalments over its estimated useful economic life as follows:
Goodwill - Over 5 years
Tangible fixed assets and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost less estimated residual value of each asset over its expected useful life, as follows:
Plant and machinery 15% reducing balance
Fixtures, fittings & equipment 15% reducing balance
Motor vehicles 33% straight line
Financial instruments
Financial instruments are classified and accounted for, according to the substance of the contractual arrangement, as either financial assets, financial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.
