Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
The accounting policy adopted for the accounting of service charge transactions is in accordance with the recommended practice according to the Technical Release 03/11, Accounting for Variable Service Charges, issued jointly by ICAEW, ARMA and RICS. As a result, service charges and the corresponding expenses of managing the property do not appear in the profit and loss account of the company, as the company is acting only as an agent for the tenants.
